Snack Foods Division

Snack Foods Division which comprises of Zap Nax, Iris Biscuits and Kinsfolk was launched in 2005 under the Innscor Manufacturing Division.
Snack Foods division has expanded its operations since then to include two new brands, Dixy Dragon Puffs and Zap Nax Corn Curves which both produce corn puffs available in cheese, chicken, salted, fruit chutney and spicy tomato flavours.

The division also produces a range of products for inter company divisions as well as third parties.

  • The Zap Nax factory produces the National Foods Red Seal Corn Curves and the Red Seal Ma Zappy snacks.
  • The Iris factory produces the National Foods Gloria Biscuits, Spar Savemor plain biscuits, the OK Pot 'O' Gold loose biscuits and the OK Value loose biscuits.
  • The Kinsfolk factory produces a variety of pies for the Bakers Inn stores and selected Bon Marche and OK in-store bakeries and also supplies various third party retail supermarkets with the high end Tascali range of par baked pies.
Staff
The combined staff compliment of the division is approximately 430 hard working employees who are highly motivated in ensuring that the division realises its end goals. The equipment used in these factories ensures the output of high quality products and each factory is supported by a dedicated and skilled maintenance team that is always on stand by.
Factories
The factories operate on an average of two 8 hour shifts to produce these volumes. Only the highest quality raw materials are used in the manufacturing of our products, while still maintaining selling prices that provide consumers with value for money. That is why our products contest well against competitors within their respective markets.
Community
Snack Foods is also involved in ploughing back into the community by sponsoring various sporting activities such as the "Hoops 4 Hope" program that co-ordinates basketball workshops for children in high density suburbs in and around Harare and Bulawayo.
 
It is against this backdrop that Snack Foods Division will continue to endeavour to seek new and exciting avenues that compliment the end goal of the division to become one of the biggest and most profitable snack food manufacturers
