Kinsfolk was established by Albert Olberholzer in 1996 trading
as Pie City. The company, at the time consisted of a factory and
5 retail shops located in Harare. Kinsfolk was producing Steak,
Steak & Kidney and Chicken Pies including Cornish Pasties and
Sausage rolls. It was not long before Pie City became a household
name that was associated with quality pies that were good value
for money.
This success naturally saw the merging of Pie City with Simon Pies
in 2001 and this merger saw the introduction of pie supply to the
24 Bakers Inn outlets in Harare. The company has since grown and
is now supplying wholesale products to selected Ok and Bon Marche
In-store bakeries in Harare and Bulawayo. Kinsfolk also produces
up-market par baked Tascali range of pies which are distributed
in retails stores in and around Harare and Bulawayo.
